Chapelfield Cottage is a traditional pantile Norfolk cottage situated in a tranquil, rural location on the very edge of The Broads National Park, near to the boatyards and the river Ant, yet only a 15 minute walk from the old market town of Stalham.
Our guest accommodation comprises two apartments named after family members that we have many fond memories of. Similarly, we aim to provide you with a comfortable and relaxing base from which you can build your memories for your future! The Broads, now a National Park is the UK's largest and finest wetland landscape with a total area of 117 square miles and over 120 miles of navigable waterways, formed from 7 rivers and 63 man-made broads making this the UK's third largest inland waterway.
On offer is an experience like no other, enjoying miles of waterways, pathways and cycle routes. It is the only National Park in the UK with a city! The landscape is one of tranquility, featuring water, marsh and woodland with views of church towers and windmills. Wildlife is abundant and thriving. Whilst visiting enjoy many activities including sailing, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, walking, fishing and cycling.
Chapelfield Cottage is a great centre for exploring North Norfolk. Museum of the Broads is a short walk away, we're 4 miles from some great sandy beaches and BeWILDerwood; a huge, award winning forest of family fun and outdoor adventure with its treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges and really yummy food is only a few minutes in the other direction.
If retail therapy is your thing, then we have Sutton Pottery in the next village, some great local farm shops, Truly Local shop in Stalham that specialises in produce sourced within 30 miles. Further afield is Wroxham Barns, a ‘must visit’ for ALL the family with craft studios and superb shopping facilities for the grown-ups, while the youngsters will love the Junior Farm and Funfair.
